McClentic Design, PLLC traces it roots all the way back to the early 90's when after a layoff Doug McClentic started taking in freelance drafting assignments while in Architecture school. Upon graduation that freelance work laid the foundation for McClentic Architectural Design. With the economy booming and small projects in abundance Doug took on projects while maintaining a full time position at a large Boston Architectural firm and in 2002 he was to strike out on his own full time. Building on a base of numerous residential projects McClentic Design expanded into the commercial market with projects that included commercial office space, restaurants and larger scale residential projects. In 2006 with the residential real estate market starting its down turn Doug was forced to seek work with another firm. This seemed like a step backwards but ended up being a time where he was able to expand his experience to include high rise building design. Doug managed the design and construction drawings for two high rise buildings in CT along with projects in Jordan and China. In July of 2009 Doug was laid off and McClentic Architectural Design, now asMcClentic Design, PLLC once again came to the fore front with the intention of moving headlong into the future.
